An award-winning Executive Producer and Commissioner, Phil has created, produced and commissioned a range of talk about hit shows from genre-defining factual entertainment and reality to entertainment, comedy and huge-scale live events.
Prior to BOLDPRINT, Phil was Channel 4’s Head of Entertainment and Events. Overseeing the creative direction, content budgets and on-screen talent across a multi-million pound portfolio including comedy entertainment shows Taskmaster and The Last Leg plus new returning brands Jimmy Carr’s I Literally Just Told You, Claudia Winkleman’s One Question, BAFTA-winning Late Night Lycett and reality show Tempting Fortune. Under his leadership, the department won 37 major awards, including BAFTAs for Joe Lycett vs David Beckham, Friday Night Live and two RTS awards for The Big Breakfast.
Phil’s passion is creating and producing content, having managed creative teams in senior leadership positions at Fremantle, Banijay and All3 Media. He has produced hit reality shows The Only Way is Essex, Big Brother and Celebrity Big Brother, entertainment juggernauts Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, X Factor and Take Me Out and launched a number of high profile first series including BAFTA-nominated BBC shows The Greatest Dancer and Eating with My Ex and classic gameshow Supermarket Sweep for ITV - all of which were recommissioned. He created and executive produced E4 hit Celebs Go Dating, which has run for 13 series, and has created, developed and produced several formats for the American Market; including Bravo reality show The Singles Project, for which he won an Emmy.
